Unico Sigorta’s Commitment to Child Nutrition
Unico Sigorta has played a pivotal role in fostering the health and well-being of children by supporting the construction of two dining halls with capacities of 500 and 300 students at Hatay İskenderun Mevlâna Primary School and Kadınana Primary School, respectively. Partnering with Gönül Mutfağı, spearheaded by renowned social entrepreneur and chef Ebru Baybara Demir, Unico Sigorta is committed to providing nutritious meals to children in earthquake-stricken regions.
The grand inauguration of these dining facilities took place on March 18, 2025, with notable attendees including Unico Sigorta CEO Ender Güzeler and Ebru Baybara Demir. This initiative underscores the importance of nutritional support for children in areas impacted by natural disasters.
Strengthening Community through Sustainable Nutrition
Unico Sigorta is dedicated to sustainable societal contributions, especially in regions still recovering from the earthquake. Collaborating with Chef Ebru Baybara Demir and the ‘Gönül Mutfağı Kuruyor Geleceğin Tables of the Future’ project, the company aims to enhance the dietary routines of school-age children by ensuring they receive daily hot and nutritious meals.
Unico Sigorta employees, alongside Chef Demir, actively participated in the opening ceremonies, serving meals and distributing gifts to children, reinforcing the company’s ethos of social responsibility and community empowerment.

Güzeler further added, “As of the second term of the 2024-2025 academic year, we proudly provide hot and healthy meals to 800 children daily. Our initiative aims to inspire similar efforts, ensuring a robust and promising future for our country.”
Expanding the Impact of Gönül Mutfağı
Chef Ebru Baybara Demir elaborated on the impact of Gönül Mutfağı, highlighting the project’s dual focus: providing hot meals to school children and creating employment for 50 local women. She expressed gratitude for Unico Sigorta’s support and collaboration with various governmental bodies.
“Our objective,” Chef Demir stated, “is to extend the reach of this project, ensuring more schools and students benefit from our efforts. This initiative stands as a testament to the healing power of gastronomy and community solidarity.”
