Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance Announces Promotion
Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance (BHSI), a leading provider in the commercial property, casualty, and specialty insurance sectors, has announced the promotion of Megan Howe to the role of Head of Claims, Australasia. This announcement marks a significant step in her career and is a testament to her exceptional contributions to the company.
In her expanded role, Howe will be based in Auckland and will report directly to Mark Lingafelter, President of BHSI Australasia, and Dave Crowe, Chief Claims Officer at BHSI. Megan Howe initially joined the BHSI family in 2015, serving as Head of Claims for New Zealand. In 2021, her responsibilities were broadened to include claims management for BHSI’s global Program business.
Howe has been a pivotal member of the Australasia leadership team since 2019. Before her tenure at BHSI, she amassed over two decades of experience as a lawyer, specializing in defense, coverage, and regulatory matters pertinent to insurers and professionals.
