NVIDIA Earth-2 is a sophisticated development platform that empowers the integration of AI models to generate high-resolution digital twins of the Earth’s atmosphere, offering unprecedented insights into weather patterns.
As JBA explains, “Earth-2 provides tools and models to enhance catastrophe modeling by creating richer event sets that include previously unseen yet plausible extreme weather occurrences.” This new initiative builds upon earlier projects utilizing Earth-2, spearheaded by the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory and the University of California, Irvine.
