In a recent announcement, Minister Uraloğlu highlighted that Istanbul Airport has reached a remarkable milestone, enhancing its reputation both operationally and internationally.
Emphasizing the airport’s recent achievements, Uraloğlu noted, “On July 18th, Istanbul Airport shattered its previous record set on June 11, 2023, with 1,690 flights during the UEFA Champions League Final, by achieving 1,695 air traffic movements. This record underscores its status as a pivotal hub in both European and global aviation sectors.”

Uraloğlu further elaborated on the airport’s growing prestige on the international stage, stating, “For the second consecutive year, Istanbul Airport has topped the ‘World’s Top 10 International Airports’ list, an accolade from ‘Travel and Leisure’, a leading global travel publication.”
Highlighting the significance of this achievement, Uraloğlu mentioned, “Istanbul Airport’s consistent performance in this survey, determined annually by millions of readers, reflects the global recognition of our country’s aviation vision and service excellence.”
