Hannover Re Strengthens Australian Operations with New Leadership
Hannover Re, a prominent European reinsurer, has announced the appointment of Carola Moore as the new Head of Claims for its Australian division. Moore brings with her an impressive two decades of experience in the insurance industry.
Before joining Hannover Re, Moore held significant positions at AIA Australia, where she dedicated over six years. Her roles included Head of Group Claims, Head of Industry Fund Claims, and Head of Rest Claims.
Prior to her tenure at AIA Australia, Moore spent more than three years at AMP, a leading retail wealth management and banking entity. There, she contributed as the Claims Learning and Development Manager and as the People and Change Lead-Claims Transformation.
Earlier in her career, Moore served as the Vice President of Strategic Projects at Banyan Work Health Solutions for over five years in Toronto. She also held the role of General Manager for the Vertex-Kapele Division at ADvTECH Group for eight years.
Expressing her enthusiasm about the new role, Moore commented, “I’ve been so generously welcomed by everyone and can’t wait to do great things together!”
In related news, Hannover Re reported a remarkable 28% increase in net income for 2024, reaching €2.3 billion. This growth corresponds with the revised higher guidance and is attributed to a substantial improvement in property and casualty (P&C) operating profit, alongside a solid performance in life and health (L&H) sectors.
