Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance Announces Leadership Promotions
Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance (BHSI), a leader in providing commercial property, casualty, and specialty insurance solutions, has unveiled strategic leadership promotions to bolster its US retail general property division. The company is reorganizing into four distinct regional operations: Northeast, Southeast, Central, and West.
Scott Johnson has been appointed as the Head of U.S. Retail General Property, where he will oversee all four regions. In addition to this new role, he will continue managing the underwriting for BHSI’s innovative BH FastCAT parametric insurance. Scott, who has been an integral part of BHSI since 2013, previously held the position of Senior Vice President and Eastern Region Leader. He operates out of New York.
Alison McVeigh will step into the role of Senior Vice President, Head of Retail General Property for the Northeast Region. Meanwhile, Jen Rubin takes over as Senior Vice President, Head of Retail General Property for the Central Region, succeeding Brian Cummins, who is transitioning to the role of Customer & Broker Engagement Leader for the Northern Central region of the US.
In the Southeast Region, Cristin Grogan has been promoted to Senior Vice President, Head of Retail General Property. Finally, Manny Dewani will assume leadership as Senior Vice President, Head of Retail General Property for the West Region.
