AXA Sigorta Partners with Volleyball Unforgettable Association
AXA Sigorta has embarked on a significant collaboration with the Volleyball Unforgettable Association (VUD), an organization dedicated to highlighting the rich history of Turkish volleyball. Through this ‘Values Partnership’, AXA Sigorta is committed to disseminating the cultural heritage of Turkish volleyball to a broader audience by supporting VUD’s projects.
Guided by the ethos of ‘protecting what is valuable to people for the advancement of humanity’, AXA Sigorta seeks to immortalize inspiring life stories that sustain social memory for future generations. This values partnership with the Volleyball Unforgettables Association is a testament to this mission. As the initial step of this collaboration, AXA Sigorta will facilitate the digital transformation of the comprehensive Volleyball Encyclopedia. This work, encompassing five volumes, 2218 pages, and approximately 10,000 images, captures the life stories, photographs, and reminiscences of 712 volleyball players born from 1905 to 1965. Compiled with meticulous effort by former volleyball player and educator Gülnur Özfer Görgün, this encyclopedia celebrates athletes who have significantly influenced Turkish volleyball and serves as an inspiring cultural treasure for younger generations.
