Arch Insurance Enhances Its Spanish Operations
Arch Insurance, a prominent division of the Bermuda-headquartered re/insurance giant Arch Capital Group, has unveiled strategic new appointments to bolster its operations in Spain. The company has named Carmen Cobeta as the Head of Casualty for Spain and Irene Fernandez Franic as a Senior Casualty Underwriter.
Both distinguished professionals will be stationed in Madrid, focusing on broadening Arch’s casualty portfolio across Spain and Portugal. Their efforts will target primary, umbrella, and excess liability coverage, catering to various sectors such as industrial, manufacturing, and rail.
Carmen Cobeta brings with her an extensive background of over two decades in the casualty realm. Before joining Arch Insurance, she excelled at QBE Europe as a Regional Broker Relationship Manager. Her previous roles include Liability Portfolio Manager and Senior Casualty Underwriter at QBE Europe, complemented by underwriting positions at Chubb.
Meanwhile, Irene Fernandez Franic adds more than 20 years of insurance market expertise to the team. Her most recent position was as the Head of International Construction at Howden. Throughout her career, she has held significant broking and underwriting roles at Aon, Generali, and QBE Europe.
